It all started when Rosie set out to buy a swimsuit for her weekly swim in 2016. Frustrated it was so difficult to find a swimsuit that delivered on substance and style, she set out to solve the problem herself and reinvent swimwear. Combining fabrics made from regenerated ocean waste, revolutionary production methods and a ground-breaking sizing system, Deakin and Blue is revolutionising swimwear. Refreshingly free of airbrushed, sexualised models, all pieces are made in London and made from ECONYL – a 100% regenerated nylon fibre. After all, doesn’t it make sense that your swimsuit is ocean-friendly? The label works with Oeko-Tex® certified suppliers, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturers and partners who pay fairly, use chemicals safely and minimise waste where possible. They’ve even sourced 100% reusable and recyclable packaging materials, and the tissue paper uses soy-based ink and is printed on acid-free FSC® certified paper.
