Everlane was founded in 2011 by Michael Preysman, who set out to revolutionise the fashion industry. The San Francisco-based company prides themselves on ‘radical transparency’, with Everlane encouraging its customers to “Know your factories. Know your costs. Always ask why.” The brand offers consumers a full breakdown of the true cost of its products, from the price of the raw materials to transportation to retail markup, and gives customers a glimpse inside the factories where its products are made.
The label’s offering, for both men and women, is key minimalist basics made with high quality fabrics and not so crazy prices, all the while bypassing seasonal collections and opting to introduce products one by one in order to create the best products possible, one at a time.
